On Monday 18th September 2017 Tudor Chapter No. 277 were host to the 2nd Provincial Grand Principal, EComp Harvey Basger to celebrate EComp John Jackson’s Royal Arch Golden Jubilee
Reaching the milestone of a 50th in the Royal Arch does not happen that often when compared to the Craft so it was a fittingly splendid affair. John Jackson, an Officer of Supreme Grand Chapter has been an asset to the Royal Arch from the day he was exalted.
The whole evening reflected this. A cracking turnout including a serious quantity of Grand Officers, some would say an intimidating amount, far too many to be gathering together outside of London or Provincial Grand Chapter anyway!!!!
But having someone of the standing of John Jackson celebrate his 50th meant the Chapter was well prepared.
A resplendent Grand and Provincial delegation, with many acting officers processed in adding to the already colourful nature of a Royal Arch Chapter. The ceremony and dedications were informative, humorous and well received by all.

At the social board the speeches were excellent and enjoyable with John’s response being the highlight of the evening. The evening was enjoyed by all.
Thanks must go to Tudor Royal Arch Chapter for allowing us to visit on this special occasion. It was clear to see that an awful lot of effort had been made to ensure it was a night to remember.
