On Tuesday 4th February, companions gathered for a poignant evening as Kitchener Chapter No.3788 held its final meeting before closing.

The Representative of the Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, EComp Doug Roberts, was in attendance to oversee proceedings.

In a fitting farewell, the last three Principals – Excellent Companions John Whitfield, John Yates, and Bill Spiby – were installed before the chapter’s warrant was formally handed over to the Western Area Assistant to the Provincial Grand Principals, EComp Peter Faulkner.

The ceremony was conducted with dignity and precision, expertly managed by EComp Brian Entwistle as Director of Ceremonies under the guidance of the Area Closures Officer, EComp Mel Taylor.

While the closure marked the end of an era for Kitchener Chapter, its legacy will continue, as nearly all its members will be joining St John’s Chapter No.348 at their next meeting. This includes EComp Whitfield who will be celebrating his Royal Arch Golden Jubilee on Tuesday 29th April.

A heartfelt farewell to Kitchener Chapter – and best wishes to its companions as they embark on the next stage of their Royal Arch journey.
