On Saturday 23rdMarch, 60 Companions, partners and friends, assembled at Mill House Masonic Hall in Clayton-le-Moors for the Northern Area Royal Arch Dinner, hosted by The Chapter of Remembrance No. 3787. They were joined by EComp Sir David Tripper, The Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, and Lady Ruth Trippier, who were accompanied by EComp Harvey Basger, Second Provincial Grand Principal, Mrs Basger; WBro John Farrington, Deputy Provincial Grand Master, Mrs Farrington and EComp David Dunn the Northern Area Assistant to the Provincial Grand Principals.
Following a sumptuous three course meal, EComp David Bristol, Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies, managed the toast list with alacrity. EComp Dunn proposed the toast to Sir David and presented Lady Ruth with a bouquet of flowers which she was delighted to receive. Sir David gave his response by thanking everyone for their company and expressed delight at being back at Mill House again for another social event.
Sir David and Lady Ruth then took to the dance floor and were closely folowed by EComp Basger and Mrs Basger and many others, all entertained throughout the evening by the versatile Terry Langley on guitar and vocals.
Following a raffle, EComp Nick Bellas of The Chapter of Remembrance, RA District Officer, presented Sir David with a cheque for £335 to the ELMC, which he received with sincere thanks.
Terry Langley then delivered his second set of the evening before the guests departed having had a wonderful evening of companionship. It was true to say a great time was had by all.
