During the convocation, three of the Danish brethren were exalted into the Royal Arch, in a triple ceremony. The East Lancashire Presentation Team performed the exaltations. The obligation was delivered in Danish, so that the candidates fully understood this important part of the ceremony.
The second part of the evening took place in the main function room of Stanley House, which had been decorated for the social board with Danish flags and bunting. In true masonic tradition King Charles III was toasted and the national anthem was sung. Queen Margrethe II of Denmark was also toasted, and the Danish national anthem was sung with great gusto. The evening coincided with Excellent Companion John Cavanagh’s birthday, who had provided cake and drinks for all those in attendance, as well as acting as director of ceremonies for the evening.
This was a splendid evening enjoyed by all those in attendance and an example of Royal Arch masonry at its very finest.
