EComp Dennis Roscoe recently celebrated his 60th Royal Arch Masonic birthday at Good Companions and Commemoration Chapter No 6005 where the members entertained their ladies and friends at their annual festive dinner.
Over 30 people enjoyed a happy, warm and convivial evening at the Manchester Hall, Bridge Street, where fellow member and Assistant to the Provincial Grand Principals, EComp David Basger, presented EComp Roscoe with his illuminated certificate, lapel badge and personal letter of congratulations from the MEGS.
All present stood to toast Dennis’ health with a rousing rendition of he’s a jolly good fellow. Responding to his toast, the spritely 89-year-old said that to him masonry to him was like the story of Alice in Wonderland. Once he stepped into the world of Freemasonry a whole new life was set out before him. All present enjoyed carol singing.
The evening was rounded off with the energetic singing of Cwm Rhondda, accompanied by the irreplaceable and magnificent EComp Roscoe at the piano.
