On Monday 11 August 2025, in a perfect demonstration of the ceremony, Bro Stephen Ogezo was proudly exhaled into Probity & Freedom Chapter 367. Stephen was joined by our Provincial 3rd Grand Principle, EComp Andrew Procter PGStB, APGP EComp Doug Smith, APGM EComp John Curry, Area Chairman EComp Andy Halford, a delegation of the Area Team and many other friends and companions.

A little more about Stephen, in the words of EComp Smith:

Stephen hails from Delta State in Nigeria, he grew up in a warm, tight-knit family and is very proud of his royal heritage.

This upbringing nurtured in him a warm sense of community and a heartfelt passion for service right from the start. Today, he’s happily married with two boys, and he delights in discovering new places, playing tennis, and curling up with a good book whenever he gets the chance. He also finds joy in staying active within the community and supporting charity work, which beautifully reflects his kind and generous spirit.

In 2022, after waiting patiently through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, he became a member of Imperial George Lodge 78.

He’s had the pleasure of meeting wonderful people and gaining a wealth of knowledge along the way.

Professionally, Stephen is working towards his PhD in Nuclear Engineering at Lancaster University, where he’s passionate about developing clean nuclear energy solutions. And his favourite food? Fission and chips!

He is also proud to serve as a regional coordinator with the Eastern Area East Lancashire Level Club (ELLC). He has enjoyed planning events and activities that inspire younger brethren to become more involved with Freemasonry and deepen their understanding of the Craft. He’s looking forward to his first area learning session in August 2025.

The Royal Arch journey he has taken today is important to both of us, and I’m eager to see his progress ahead. And I’m so proud that he chose to join the best chapter in the Eastern Area.
