The Deputy Grand Superintendent, EComp Martin Roche joined a full Chapter at the inaugural Red Table event to be held in the East Ribble District. The evening was hosted by Bank Terrace Chapter No 462 and was attended by 11 Master Masons from the District eager to learn a little more about the Royal Arch.
Whilst the Chapter was opened and EComp Roche admitted, the Master Masons were held outside. There they were welcomed and given a brief introduction to the Royal Arch by EComp Nick Bellas RADO, EComp Russell Harwood Deputy District Chairman and EComp Steve Crowther. Once the Chapter members were ready, the entourage was admitted and welcomed by the First Principal EComp Jack AstonECompAston then introduced EComp Steve Crowther who delivered his presentation highlighting the history and the major players in the story that carries on where the Third Degree left off, in an attempt to whet the Brethren’s appetite for the Royal Arch. Following his talk, the Master Masons retired and the Chapter continued the business of the evening.
A full Bank Terrace Chapter Festive Board then took place where EComp Roche in his response expressed delight at the number of visiting Master Masons. He continued by encouraging the Brethren to think about joining the RA as the natural advancement from their Third Degree, he also went on to make a very generous wish to attend the Exaltation Ceremony of any Brethren who ultimately decided to join.
A wonderful evening which demonstrated true fraternity and something a little different both inside and out of the Chapter, especially when performing the Bank Terrace Chapter No. 462 honours!
