Unity Royal Arch Chapter, No 2341, played host to a speaker from the Oldham Mountain Rescue team, at Mossley Masonic hall on Thursday 25thJanuary 2018. The Chapter gave a donation to the team, as part of our installation charity giving, last April. An invitation to give a short talk on the work of the team, to the companions of Unity chapter, resulted in a visit from Mr Peter Hyde. A senior member of the team, who has been involved with Oldham Mountain Rescue for nearly 50 years. Following a short business meeting in the chapter room, Mr Hyde set up a screen & projector in the dining room. The companions were treated to a most informative, interesting & entertaining talk covering all aspect of the teams history, & activities. Mr Hyde then joined us at our social board, where the chapter also welcomed some visiting companions. The evening concluded with a pleasant surprise for Mr Hyde, another donation of £200.00 towards the important work the team undertakes.
