On a beautiful sunny and warm day, the East Lancashire Masonic Golf Society held its annual Invitation Day at Knott End Golf Club. The highlight of the day is the competition for the Jack Levene Trophy which is a Trophy presented in memory of WBro Jack Levene, a past member of the Society and a very hard working and distinguished Provincial Officer.
After dinner, the Chairman of the Society, WBro Malcolm Worsley, welcomed everyone present and thanked them for attending and bringing the great weather with them. WBro Ronnie Levene then said a few words about his late brother and the tireless work he did on behalf of Freemasonry in his Lodge and in the Province.
27 golfers played in the competition and the winners were WBro Harold Cooper and his partner Phil Wright. The runners-up were WBro Steven Holmes and his son, Stuart Holmes.
