On Sunday 10th June several members of Keep Lodge 6538 and Limestone Rock Lodge 369 accompanied by WBro David Lightbown PAGDC, gathered at the Clitheroe Town Hall in preparation for the Clitheroe Civic Sunday Procession and Church Service.

The procession, on a glorious Sunday morning, navigated a small route around Clitheroe town centre lead by the town crier Roland Hailwood and the Clitheroe Town Band. The Mayor of Clitheroe, Coun. Pam Dowson was accompanied by town officials and past Mayors along with representatives from local organisations including our own Clitheroe Freemasons. Locals turned out in good numbers to cheer the procession as it passed on its way to St Mary Magdalene’s Church, where the service was taken by Revd. Andy Froud who made special mention of the inclusion of local Freemasons for the first time. The recently refurbished Church played impressive host to the culmination of the mornings events.

Following the service, all present were invited to attend St Mary’s Church Hall for light refreshments and a chance to reflect on the procession and service.

Many thanks to the Clitheroe Freemasons who helped to make our involvement possible and to those who took part in the mornings activities.
