On Wednesday 27th of October, Prince Alfred Lodge No 1218 held the Installation of WBro Bruce Robbins as Worshipful Master. The Assistant to the Grand Master, WBro the Rev Canon Richard Hawkins PSGD, and a delegation of District Officers were in attendance. The Installing Master WBro Barry Rhodes and the Installing Officers were commended by the APGM for the manner in which the ceremony was delivered, in particular the delivery of Addresses to the Worshipful Master, the Wardens and the Brethren, with the Address to the Wardens warranting mention for the inclusion of sections more common in neighbouring Provinces.

A good number of guests ensured that the Festive Board was especially enjoyable, and, while special care was taken; due to the need to maintain safe practices to reduce the risk of spreading COVID; the warm, friendly and pleasant atmosphere reminded all of what life was like before restrictions were in place and reminded all of the comradeship and brotherhood that we had been sorely missing. The return to holding meetings brings untold benefits to members but also gives an opportunity to resume the good work and charitable activities that play such a significant role in the life of Freemasons. ’
