On Wednesday, the 24th of February 2023, the members of Townley Parker Lodge No.1083 were treated to a special visit by the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master, WBro. Robert Ian Frankl, who was accompanied by a provincial deputation. The Provincial Grand Master was visiting the lodge to offer his personal thanks to one lodge member, WBro. Paul Yates, who acted as the Provincial Senior Grand Warden during 2019-2020.

The Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies, WBro John Curry, entered the lodge and declared the Provincial Grand Master was in attendance and demanded admission to the lodge.

After entering the lodge room, the Provincial Grand Master received salutations from the Brethren. He was offered the gavel of the lodge from WBro Yates, who had occupied the Chair of King Solomon for his special occasion. The Provincial Grand Master accepted the gavel and delivered a moving tribute to WBro. Yates, whilst also detailing his impressive Masonic career to date. After which, the gavel was returned to WBro. Yates.

The Provincial Grand Master was then treated to a double Passing Ceremony when Brothers Alwadai and Johnson were passed to the degree of a Fellow Craft.

The Provincial deputation then retired from the lodge, which was afterwards closed by the Worshipful Master in the chair.
