Who Are We?
We are a very welcoming Lodge and value visiting Brethren that attend our meetings and enjoy the company of guests at our yearly programme of social events, where our caring and welcoming nature has attracted many a new member’s interest in joining Solidarity. The Lodge values each member’s commitment to Freemasonry and to the running of the Lodge from small groups who organise the social events to each individual’s effort put in to make our ceremonies a success. Solidarity Lodge holds our ritual in high esteem, and we work as a team to support each other’s best efforts in producing high quality ceremony to the credit of the Lodge, Freemasonry in general and each individual Brother – especially our candidates.
Following a Lodge meeting we meet for the ‘Social Board’, which many of us see as the highlight of the evening. Although we follow a traditional pattern in terms of dining and toasts, we enjoy our comradeship over a meal with a few drinks at the same time as celebrating our Fraternity. We believe that fellowship should be fun!
Charity is always close to our hearts, and Solidarity makes a point of using the funds raised over the year to support good causes of a local nature, bringing us closer to the community where we meet.
Why Join Us?
You will get a very good foundation in Freemasonry, enjoy a warm welcome and active social calendar and be supported by experienced Masons who enjoy fraternity and charity in equal measure..
WHEN WE MEET
Solidarity Lodge meets on the fourth Thursday of the month with June, July and August off for summer and no meeting in December as it is always too close to Christmas! On the other Thursdays each month we meet for practice, where we can hone our ritual and support newer members to develop their knowledge and experience of Freemasonry.

LODGE INFO
We hold a core number of social events each Masonic year which include two more formal events of a Christmas Party around 1st Saturday in December and a Ladies Night usually in March. We also hold several less formal events including a very popular annual wine tasting event. At our social boards we commemorate Burn’s night at our January meeting, Lancashire night in April and our May social board is also open to partners to attend before the summer recess.
Each year we hold a Charity Giving event where the recipients of our donations are invited to attend not only to meet the lodge members but also to give us some feedback on how the money will be used and an update on the organisations progress over the last year.
