Who Are We?

“Rhyddings first started on 15th October 1930, and we will be celebrating our centenary in 6 years. The first meeting took place at the Rose and Crown in Oswaldtwistle. The lodge then moved to Albert Road in Oswaldtwistle. In 2011 we moved to our current home at the Adelaide Suite in Accrington.

Our lodge has a reputation for everybody enjoying themselves, with great camaraderie between our members and visitors too.

Our lodge is made up of people from a range of professions including managers, a farmer, health and safety professionals, engineers, a carer, ex police officers, and security company directors.”

Why Join Us?

“Rhyddings lodge takes our masonic business seriously and actively focuses on everybody being involved, but we equally prioritise everybody enjoying themselves and having fun, and making nights to remember.

Rhyddings is not the biggest lodge in the area, but this ensures that new members will be fully supported by our active mentor and the other members as they embark upon their masonic journey.”

WHEN WE MEET

“We meet on the third Wednesday of the month from September to May at 7PM.

The installation of our Master takes place on the third Wednesday in October at 3PM. Where we call off to drink spirits and toast our new Master, in our own unique style.

Our practices are on the first and second Thursday of the month at 7.30PM, again at Accrington.”

LODGE INFO

“We have a Ladies Evening every year where we thank our ladies for their support. Where we dress up, enjoy a good meal followed by entertainment.

The last three Area Charity Stewards have been members of Rhyddings Lodge, and our members enjoy supporting local charities through volunteering.”
