Who Are We?
We are a special interest lodge made up of members of serving and ex uniform services such as military, police and other front line services (including reservist personnel and volunteer services). We are a newer and growing lodge that is all about camaraderie and togetherness through dedicated service to our country and communities.
Why Join Us?
We are a growing lodge having only formed a couple of years ago. We took over Burnley grammar school lodge (three chalices) which was declining in member numbers. We have high standards but have strived to keep things fun and in some respects less formal, but we encourage military dress uniform at some important meetings. We have members from lots of backgrounds who find “banter” and similar people to enjoy a drink with. We value remembrance and actively get involved in local parades and try to help veterans.
We meet less than some other lodges which can help with busy working lives of our shift workers as we have a less demanding calendar.
WHEN WE MEET
3rd Friday – February, may, August and October but also hold a special remembrance meeting the Friday before Remembrance Sunday.
