Who Are We?
Grants Lodge was consecrated in 1978 and we are already planning celebrations for our 50th anniversary in 2028.
The Lodge was founded by Masons of different faiths with the deliberate intention of creating an environment which would welcome members of all faiths and we continue to hold onto those same values.
We have been fortunate in recent years to attract several new members who were just joining Freemasonry and are now progressing through the various Lodge offices and helping to make the atmosphere in our meetings very bright and welcoming. In fact we pride ourselves on the warm and welcoming atmosphere we generate at our meetings and the social boards which follow them. We are firmly of the view that, whilst Charity is clearly at the forefront of Freemasonry, our meetings are a great opportunity for members to widen their social circle and make new friends so we always strive to make our Freemasonry fun and enjoyable.
We also have a number of members who are very experienced Masons, some of whom hold or have held senior positions in the Province and these members continue to be active and involved in helping and supporting our newer members.
Why Join Us?
You should consider joining us if you are looking for a Lodge with a widely varied cross section of ages and experience in Freemasonry, where the experienced members go out of their way to help and support the newer members and where the principal aim of members is to enjoy each other’s company whilst also doing what they can to raise money for and support local and national good causes.
