Several East Ribble District Freemasons, accompanied by their wives/partners, recently took a trip over to see the excellent facilities at our wonderful Provincial retirement home Hewlett Court.

Mrs Julie Ward, Director of Operations for the ELMC, based at Hewlett Court, guiding the visitors and was supported by Husband Charles Ward. Highlights included seeing the many recent improvements which have included a complete renovation of the hairdressing salon, redecoration, bar facilities in the main lounge, a residents shop which make up just a small part of the consistent programme of updates and renovations taking place.

The main highlight of the visit was the opportunity to talk to some of the many residents, all who were effusive in their praise of Hewlett Court facilities and many residents activities which includes visits out to Blackpool Illuminations, Canal Boat Trips, in house entertainment, garden renovations and much more. Complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits rounded of a most worthwhile visit. Any Brother can take along their family to see for themselves the “Jewel in the Provincial Crown”, just call ahead if possible, you will always be made most welcome.
