WBro Ian Johnson, the East Ribble Assistant District Charity Steward, recently presented a cheque to the Lancashire Womens Centre in the Accrington, on behalf of the East Lancashire Masonic Charity for the sum of £2636
The Centre provides a safe, non-judgemental and professional environment, which is female only between the hours of 10am – 3pm. Whatever their needs, women can drop-in or telephone during the opening times to speak to a member of the team.
The money will be used to facilitate a well needed kitchen refurbishment. This will allow for hot food to be prepared and distributed.
The photos show WBro Johnson presenting the cheque to Liz Islam and some of the volunteers. Liz is also shown in the small kitchen area to be refurbished.
