Over the weekend, a dedicated group of Freemasons volunteered their time to support Springhill Hospice in Rochdaleby marshalling the car park during one of the hospice’s busy public events.

Organising traffic and ensuring visitors could arrive and leave safely might not sound glamorous — but it’s one of those essential, behind-the-scenes jobs that keeps everything running smoothly. The professionalism and warmth shown by our brethren throughout the day reflected the core values of Freemasonry: service, integrity, and community.

Their presence didn’t just bring order to the car park — it brought reassurance to families, staff, and volunteers who rely on Springhill Hospice for vital care and support in the Rochdale area.

This is a shining example of how Freemasons quietly contribute to the life of their local communities. Whether it’s raising funds, lending a hand, or simply showing up when needed, the commitment to helping others remains at the heart of what we do.

A huge thank you to all who gave their time and energy so generously. Your support is not only appreciated — it’s deeply valued.
