On Monday 1st September, the Brethren of the Lodge Of Tranquillity With Hospitality were treated to an unforgettable evening when the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master, Robert Ian Frankl, made a surprise visit to witness the presentation of the Grand Lodge Certificates to two Master Masons.
The impact of the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master’s presence was clear to see — both on the recipients themselves and the many members and visitors who were present. The evening will undoubtedly remain a cherished memory for all involved.

The Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master also highlighted the efforts of the Lodge in working closely with the Area to prepare for the future. That commitment is already bearing fruit, with three new members recently joining and more expected in the months to come, reflecting the Lodge’s focus on growth and engagement.
During the evening, he spoke about the importance of mentoring and supporting new members, ensuring they are guided through their Masonic journey and given opportunities to engage fully with Lodge and Provincial activities. This remains a key focus for the future, helping to ensure the continued growth and vitality of Freemasonry in the Province.
He also took the opportunity to promote the East Lancashire Level Club, emphasising its role in supporting the development and progression of new members. He encouraged all Brethren to engage with the Club, take advantage of the mentoring and networking opportunities it offers, and consider it an integral part of their Masonic journey, helping to strengthen connections across Lodges and the Province.
The evening ended with warm fellowship and a sense of pride in both the Lodge’s progress and the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master’s personal recognition of it. With more new members already in the pipeline, the Lodge is clearly building for a strong future.
