On Thursday 24th October 2024, a delegation of six Brethren from East Lancashire visited Hiram Lodge No.12 in Prague. Where they witnessed a triple passing of three Brethren.

Hiram Lodge No.12, is the only English speaking lodge within Prague and they work Emulation ritual. It was commented on that the ritual delivered was mostly found within one of the visiting Brethren’s Lodges rather than other Lodges within the Northern area!

Due to the large number of visitors that were attending this meeting. The venue was moved from the smaller Grand Lodge building to the School for the Deaf, which is one of the main beneficiaries of support from Hiram Lodge. The visitors included Freemasons from East Kent, Malta, and a large delegation from Romania.

Afterwards the Brethren assembled in the same room for the festive board of pie and peas, which was well received, especially for the attendees from East Lancs! The visiting party also managed to win four prizes at the raffle, including a 70% proof Cherry flavoured ‘moonshine’! Overall, it was a most enjoyable trip out for the Brethren, who wouldn’t have been away together as friends in Prague, had it not been for Freemasonry.  Thoughts have already started turning to their next Masonic Tourist destination…..
