On Tuesday 20th June, the RW Provincial Grand Master visited the African Caribbean Care Group, based in Hulme, Manchester, to find out how they had benefitted from a grant of £15000 awarded to them from the Masonic Charitable Foundation. The visit was particularly poignant as it coincided with the 75th anniversary of Windrush arriving in the UK.

The ACCG provides a caring and supportive service for older and vulnerable people of African Caribbean heritage in the local area. In awarding the grant, the MCF recognised the important work that the ACCG does for the community and featured the ACCG in their annual report, which resulted in further support for the Group from other organisations.

Commenting, the RW Provincial Grand Master said that he was hugely impressed with the range and level of support the ACCG provide in the community, along with their plans for the future. The impact of the grant was significant and demonstrates that Freemasonry really is a force for good in the wider community.
