On Wednesday 8th April, brethren gathered at Radcliffe Masonic Hall for a truly special occasion — the celebration of Alan Bickerdike’s Golden Jubilee, marking 50 years in Freemasonry, at Prince Edwin’s Lodge No.128.
In attendance was the Assistant Provincial Grand Master, Dr Simon Archer, who officiated the meeting, adding further distinction to an already significant evening.

A Golden Jubilee in the Craft is a rare and distinguished milestone. It represents not only longevity, but a lifetime of commitment, service, and dedication to the principles of Freemasonry. It was therefore a privilege for all present to come together and honour Alan’s remarkable achievement.
The ceremony was conducted in a warm and fitting manner, reflecting both the importance of the occasion and the esteem in which Alan is held by his fellow brethren. As the afternoon concluded, Alan was presented with his commemorative certificate, marking 50 years of service to the Craft — a proud and well-deserved recognition of his journey in Freemasonry.
On behalf of the Western Area and the Province, we extend our sincere congratulations to Alan on reaching this outstanding milestone and thank him for his continued dedication.
