We are pleased to announce the recent appointment of the Chairman, and Deputy Chairman, of the East Lancashire Level Club (ELLC), a significant initiative aimed at fostering a vibrant community among Light Blue Masons across the East Lancashire province.

This appointment has been made by the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master, Robert Frankl, who recognizes the importance of creating opportunities for social aspects of freemasonry, masonic education and development, as well as helping light blues find opportunities for service in the community. The RWPGM has taken up his position as the President of the ELLC to demonstrate this commitment. This will be alongside Paul O’Carroll APGM who has taken his position as Vice President of the ELLC.

Aaron Garner, of Maccabee Lodge No.8947 in City East Area, was honoured to receive the call and the appointment as Chairman of the ELLC. He is committed to broadening the previous successes, over the last few years, of the Manchester Level Club where he is currently the Chairman.
Aaron has this to say on the appointment, “It is a great honour to be appointed Chairman of the ELLC, and I intend to work hard with the ELLC team and all areas of the Province to ensure that we continue to build on the Light Blue community we have been developing in Manchester and beyond through the MLC. Opportunity and Involvement have been my keywords this year and we’ll be able to offer great opportunities to Light Blues to get involved in all aspects of their Masonic lives from Masonic Education, through to social events, and service in communities around the Province. Very Exciting!”

Andy Robson, of Lodge of Union No.268 in the South Area, was equally honoured to receive the call from the RWPGM and the appointment of Deputy Chairman of the ELLC. Andy was also a member of the MLC Leadership team, as Social Media Officer, and has been a strong supporter of Light Blue activities and development in the Southern Area and beyond.
Andy commented that, “My hopes for the ELLC is to bring light blues across the province together to foster and build those fraternal bonds that drew us to the fraternity. To help grow and gains greater knowledge of learning, service and community.”

The East Lancashire Level Club is designed to serve as a Province-wide forum where members can come together to enhance their masonic knowledge and connections.

The club’s aims are clear and impactful:

Forum for Engagement: The club will provide an informal setting for masons to meet and engage with each other, allowing for meaningful discussions and the sharing of experiences through masonic-related social activities.

Wider Masonic Understanding: Members will have opportunities to broaden their understanding of the masonic organization by participating in visits to other lodges and Chapters, as well as attending presentations by guest speakers who can offer insights into various aspects of Freemasonry through live and online learning events.

Building Community: The club aims to create a relaxed environment where members from different Lodges, orders, and centres can come together, fostering camaraderie and friendship among fellow masons. It will also provide opportunity for Light Blues to get involved in Charity work across the province, enabling them to make a difference in their communities.

Liaison with the Province: The East Lancashire Level Club will work closely with the Provincial leadership to ensure ongoing engagement with Light Blue masons, promoting a sense of belonging and participation within the wider masonic community.

Promoting Self-Learning: Emphasizing personal development, the club will encourage self-learning among Light Blue freemasons, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to enhance their masonic journey. This will include the continuation and further development of Light Blue Presentation Teams across the province.

As we embark on this exciting new chapter for the Province of East Lancashire , we extend our warmest congratulations to the newly appointed Chairman and Deputy Chairman.
