The Bi-Centenary Celebration Dinner – Tie and Tinsel 2025 took place on Saturday 29th November, bringing together members and guests from across the Province for a spectacular evening of celebration, charity, and festive cheer. Hosted in the elegant Cloister Suite, Bolton, the sold-out event welcomed over 240 attendees for what proved to be a memorable night and raised a fantastic £3,600 for the EL Festival 2026!

Guests were greeted with a formal drinks reception, accompanied by the enchanting performance of Katie Fiddlestix, whose beautiful violin harmonies set the perfect tone for the evening ahead.

A delicious three-course dinner followed, featuring:

  • Parsnip and celeriac soup with spiced croutons and a crusty roll
  • Traditional roast turkey, complete with all the festive trimmings, seasonal vegetables, and crisp roast potatoes
  • A classic Christmas pudding paired with indulgent brandy sauce

With spirits high and the room full of festive warmth, the crowd was soon treated to an energetic performance by the Jersey Coasters. Their lively set had guests up on their feet and dancing, ensuring the celebration continued in full swing.

Throughout the evening, a series of fundraising activities took place—including a lively game of heads and tails, a live auction, and other charitable efforts—all to raise funds for the EL Festival 2026.

As the clock struck midnight, carriages arrived, drawing the evening to a close. Guests departed full of praise, commending the event as a tremendous success and a fitting tribute to the Province’s Bicentenary celebrations.

Thank you to Philip Price and Chad Northcott, for the fantastic photo’s of the evening.
