On Saturday 26th May 2018 Burnley and Pendle Freemasons set up a stall in the foyer of Tesco’s Supermarket, Burnley.
The Deputy District Chairman for the Burnley and Pendle District, Bob Allan, District Charity Steward, Water Coupe and Lodge Membership Officers Kevin Pickering, Tony Cross and David Hawkins, among others, were on duty in the Supermarket Foyer where a table, full of different Masonic regalia, certainly attracted the attention of the hundreds and hundreds of shoppers who passed by.
A lot of interest was shown regarding Freemasonry, what it does as an organisation and most importantly, how Freemasonry supports the local community.
During the day several Gentlemen expressed an interest in membership; a very positive outcome!
A very successful day; more members of the general public know who we are and what we do and a number of Brethren from across the District got together and shared a most enjoyable afternoon.
