The Masonic Charitable Foundation together with The Burnley and Pendle District Freemasons, have donated a sum of £4,600 to the Church on the Street Ministry foodbank.

The charitable donation will ensure that Pastor Mick Flemming, of the Church on the Street Ministry and Fr Alex Frost, of St Matthews Church, can continue to deliver vital food parcels to the most exposed and disadvantaged individuals, families and their children in some of country’s most deprived areas throughout Burnley and Pendle.

The food parcels are distributed from St Mathews Church on Tuesday & Thursday between 9 and 10 am and on Wednesdays & Thursdays between 6 and 7pm at the car park opposite Tesco in Burnley town centre. This provides essential food to sustain those most affected during these desperate times, with incomes dropping, jobs being lost, the need for helping those worst hit has never been so great.

Charity is at the core of The Freemasons and they are proud to support such a great cause to ensure that the most vulnerable of our society are cared for during this unprecendented outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
