Freemasons across the Western Area have continued to support local charities and community organisations through a series of donations and visits.

New Trinity Lodge presented a donation of £600 to Bolton Hospice, helping to support the vital care it provides to patients and families across the borough. Worshipful Master Will Montague is pictured presenting the donation to Courtney Finch from Bolton Hospice.

Thomasson Memorial School and Sensory Support Services also received a grant of £2,792 towards the purchase of new laptops for its pupils. The new equipment will provide valuable additional resources to support the children’s learning. Western Area Charity Steward Chris Boardman is pictured with Headteacher Lisa Lane and a fellow representative from the Area.

The Teddies for Loving Care initiative has also expanded its support locally. George Johnson and a Western Area representative visited the Children’s A&E Department at Fairfield General Hospital to deliver its first supply of TLC Bears. The teddies, which help comfort young children during difficult or distressing hospital visits, were warmly received by staff.

Further supplies were also delivered to Fort Alice in Bolton, where representatives met Chief Executive Gill Smallwood. The charity provides refuge and support for women and children affected by domestic abuse, and arrangements are now being made to provide TLC Bears to its women’s refuge in Bury through Gill and her team.

Together, these donations demonstrate the continued commitment of Freemasons across the Western Area to supporting organisations that make a meaningful difference within their local communities.
