The commitment of Western Area Freemasons to charity was once again demonstrated as several Lodges came together to support Bolton Hospice with generous donations.

Among the contributions was a large collection of children’s toys, kindly donated by WBro David Blanshard of St Peter’s Deane Lodge No.6521. Additionally, financial donations were made by New Trinity Lodge No.4595 (£500), Kitchener Lodge No.3788 (£500), and Quatuor Legati Lodge Of Mark Masons No.1165 (£1,500), all of which were gratefully received by hospice staff.

The Worshipful Masters and Charity Stewards of each Lodge, joined by their wives, personally presented these donations to the hospice. Following the presentations, the group was given a guided tour of the facility, providing valuable insight into the compassionate care and essential services offered to patients and their families.

This visit not only reinforced the strong relationship between Western Area Freemasons and local charities but also highlighted the impact that Masonic generosity continues to have in our wider community.
