In June, on behalf of the Western Area, our Area Charity Steward – Vince Dover – donated over 70 teddies to support bereaved children at Bury Hospice.
These comforting soft toys will be included in welcome bags and gifted to children attending the Sunflower Group — Bury Hospice’s bereavement support service for children aged five to eleven.
The Sunflower Group was established to support children and their parents or carers through grief, offering a safe and supportive environment to explore feelings, express emotions, share memories, and build resilience through creative activities. Developed in partnership with Child Bereavement UK, the group is open to everyone, with priority given to those who have a connection to the Hospice.
A representative of Bury Hospice said:
“We are incredibly grateful to Vince Dover and the Freemasons for their kindness and continued support. Their thoughtful donation will help bring a sense of comfort and reassurance to young people during what can be an incredibly difficult and emotional time. This will make a real difference in the lives of the children and families we care for.”
