What an excellent afternoon and evening, and we had on Saturday, June 14th, when our brothers from Lodge Thistle and Crown 1167, hailing from Renfrewshire East and under the esteemed roll of the Grand Lodge of Scotland, paid us a most welcome deputation!
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly their demonstration of their raising ceremony. And what a demonstration it was! Perfectly delivered and truly theatrical, it was a masterclass in ritual. Adding to the special nature of the event, our very own Brother Nathan Greenland, our Senior Deacon, was the candidate. We’re sure it was an unforgettable experience for him and a proud moment for Delacy.
Following a truly memorable ceremony, we continued the good cheer at the festive board. The camaraderie was palpable, and we were treated to a fantastic recital of WBro Robert Burns’ famous poem, “Tam o’ Shanter.” It was a fitting end to an evening filled with the best of Masonic fellowship.
With over 50 brethren in attendance, including the Past Provincial Grand Master of Renfrewshire East, RWbro John S Miller, it was a fantastic turnout and a testament to the strong bonds that unite us all. Nights like these remind us of the rich traditions and the enduring spirit of brotherhood that define our craft.
