The District has taken much pleasure in making a small presentation to another one of our worthy 2020 50th anniversary celebrants, to show that although we haven’t been able to hold their full celebration yet, we certainly haven’t forgotten their service to their service to the District and to Freemasonry in general.
Bryan Pemberton of Victory Lodge No.3932, Blackburn, was due to celebrate his 50th Masonic anniversary on the actual day the country went into full lockdown back in March. That was hastily called off and rearranged for September, but yet again, that has had to be postponed.
Fellow Victory Lodge Member, Philip Beaumont, was asked by the District Chairman if he would please deliver the gifts from the District which included of a bottle of Champagne, a card of congratulations, Bryan’s much deserved 50th lapel pin and a bouquet of flowers for Mrs Vera Pemberton. Many thanks to Philip and Susan Beaumont for taking the time to make this (socially distanced!) doorstep delivery for us.
Bryan is our second recipient so far, following a similar presentation made to Derek Smith of Amity & Rossendale Forest Lodge No.283 who was also due to celebrate his 50th Masonic anniversary in September.
A lovely card of thanks was received from Bryan and we can’t wait to celebrate his achievement fully with both him and his Lodge as soon as practicable.
