On Wednesday, 28 October 1926, the brethren of Duke of Athol 210 had the honour of receiving the Provincial Grand Master, RW Robert Ian Frankel, at their lodge. The PGM accepted the Gavel and, once seated, introduced the delegation that accompanied him. This included the Assistant Provincial Master, WBro Wes Marchant; the District Chairman, WBro Nigel Johnson; the provincial Wardens and the provincial DC.

WBro Dr Ronald Barham delivered an interesting and amusing paper on the wide range of Masonic references in the works of Rudyard Kipling.

The Provincial Grand Master explained to the members of the Lodge that the highest office he could bestow is Provincial Senior Grand Warden, and that for the current year he conferred this on WBro Stephen Boyle, who incidentally also holds the Royal Arch office of APGP for the Southern Area. The Provincial Grand Master then gave an account of the offices WBro Boyle had held and a résumé of his Masonic career to date.

The ensuing Social Board continued in the warm, friendly manner of the preceding meeting.
