On Friday 16th August at Bury Masonic Hall a special and unique meeting occurred where Lodge No.8249 formerly Three Chalices Lodge was rededicated as the East Lancashire Uniformed Services Lodge.

In attendance was the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master Robert Ian Frankl who conducted the rededication ceremony as well as several other Provincial Officers and brethren.

Following this, the Assistant Provincial Grand Master The Reverend Canon Richard Wishaw Hawkins gave a very interesting and moving oration about the lives of service personnel around the world which was warmly appreciated by all those present.

Afterwards, at the social board, the atmosphere was filled with joy and laughter as the brethren enjoyed a delicious meal together.
