East Ribble District Freemasons recently donated £350 to East Lancashire Hospice as part of it’s ongoing support of the East Lancashire Hospice Drinks Trolley.

Alcohol can be very good for patients in therapy and East Ribble Freemasons always try to make sure the trolley is well stocked.

This support has been continuing for many years since the late and dearly missed Harry Hesmondalgh when he was APGM, an East Ribble Freemason, suggested it would be a great cause to support after visiting the Hospice and seeing how it helped the patients.

Even during the current pandemic, the work of the Hospice continues and so it is vital they still receive the support.  East Ribble Freemasons are proud to be able to help.  It is, however, unfortunate that the cheque could not be delivered in person due to current restrictions, as it is always a delight to visit the Hospice to see the patients taking comfort in a drink and having a chat with them.

Pictured are staff from the Hospice with the drinks trolley.
