Brethren for across the Eatern Area recently showed their community spirit by volunteering their time to collect donations for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal at Morrisons in Rochdale.

Giving up their own time last week, the masons took their place collecting donations from shoppers and members of the public, helping to raise valuable funds in support of the Poppy Appeal and the important work carried out by the Royal British Legion.

The Poppy Appeal is a much-loved annual tradition, providing an opportunity for people to show their appreciation and remember all those who have served, sacrificed and continue to serve our country. Donations help the Royal British Legion support serving personnel, veterans and their families. The brethren were delighted to play their part in supporting this important cause, giving their time freely and helping to encourage shoppers to contribute whatever they could.

A big thank you goes to everyone who stopped to make a donation, as well as to the staff at Morrisons for accommodating the collection.

Every donation, however large or small, helps make a difference. Through the generosity of the Rochdale public and the commitment of local volunteers, the spirit of remembrance and community support continues to thrive.
