Thanks to a £2,100 grant from the ELMC Educational Fund, the Ribble Valley ART4ALL charity group recently enjoyed an inspiring trip to Salts Mill to view the works of renowned artist David Hockney.
Following the visit, the group spent several months creating their own artworks, drawing inspiration from Hockney’s style an d themes. These pieces were proudly showcased in the Clitheroe Castle Exhibition throughout May.
ART4ALL meets every Friday from September to June at the Salvation Army premises in Clitheroe. Founded by Frankie Freeman nine years ago, the charity has flourished, offering free art lessons and support to individuals of all ages.
A commemorative photo from the exhibition features David Lightbown, Chairman of the Committee of Benevolence, committee member Alston Hall, two ART4ALL students, and the Mayor of Clitheroe, Donna O’Rourke.
