Cherry Tree Bowling Club
Cherry Tree bowling club is a community based, not for profit, bowling club based in the Cherry Tree area of Blackburn.
The bowling green was donated to the Cherry Tree community in the 1930s by a local mill owner William Dugdale and his family.  The green and its surrounding area is kept tidy by an enthusiastic group of local volunteers.  There are currently over 60 members and the club welcomes new members.  The club also provides 7 week courses to St Francis primary school pupils during the summer months.
Cherry Tree bowling club have recently been awarded a grant from the ELMC for a litter bin to encourage members and visitors to keep the green tidy.
