On Wednesday 17th September, Bury Lodge Of Relief No.42 welcomed Bro Billy Towers as its newest member.
Adding to the occasion, brethren from Brun Through Hurstwood Lodge No.5118 were also in attendance as part of the ongoing reciprocal visits between the two Lodges. This follows Bury Lodge’s visit to Burnley in May, when thirteen members, attended Brun Through Hurstwood’s Second-Degree ceremony. The exchange continues to strengthen bonds and friendship between the two Lodges.
The evening was also made even more special by the presence of the Assistant Provincial Grand Master for the Northern Area, WBro David McGurty, alongside several members of the Northern Area Team, who joined the Lodge to support the candidate on his first steps in Freemasonry.
With many brethren from across the Province in attendance, there was an amazing atmosphere in the Lodge room. The Lodge officers, all of whom are ‘light blue’, conducted an excellent ceremony, ensuring Bro Towers received a warm and well-delivered introduction to the Craft.
After the meeting, the brethren enjoyed a lively social board, filled with excellent food and conversation — rounding off a fantastic night for all involved.
Congratulations to Bro Towers — we look forward to seeing him progress in his Freemasonry!
