14 April 2026 saw another special event at Rochdale Masonic Hall. As well as the celebration of WBro John Ashworth, there was the visit from our Provincial Charity Steward, WBro John Taylor.

The brethren of Liberty Lodge 5573 donated £100 to Johnnys Golden Gavel initiative which entitled them to be presented with, and the use of, John’s very expensive golden (coloured) gavel for the evening. The monies raised by the initiative is all in aid of our 2026 East Lancashire Festival.
