On Saturday 22nd February, Pilkington Lodge held its annual Ladies Evening, bringing brethren, family, and friends together for a night of celebration at the Last Drop Village in Bolton. This year’s event, organised by the Worshipful Master, Satnam, and his wife, Jinny, took on a unique theme – East meets West.

As always, the evening followed the traditional dinner dance format, but with an exciting twist. Guests enjoyed a fusion of Indian and Western entertainment, with a choice of English or Indian cuisine. The vibrant atmosphere was enhanced by Nav from Dhol Drillerz, who provided the beat for traditional Indian dancing, while Billy Moon kept the party going with some classic Western hits.

In the lead-up to the evening, Satnam arranged for several members to visit an Indian clothing shop to be fitted for the occasion, while Jinny invited the ladies to try on sarees and traditional Indian dresses. This thoughtful touch added to the experience, making the night even more immersive and special for all involved.

The evening was a huge success, with everyone embracing the mix of cultures and enjoying the celebrations. Events like this show how Freemasonry can celebrate diversity and bring people together, helping to keep our traditions relevant and appealing to new members.

A big thank you to Satnam and Jinny for organising such a fantastic event!
