Who Are We?
Albatross Lodge came about at the end of the Second World War in 1945, were a group of Freemasons wanted ex Royal Air Force personnel to meet in a place yet to be found. They came up with the idea of a Masonic Lodge in the heart of Manchester among a few of the 16 founder are WBro H C Jepson, Bro F D Weeks, WBro Wing Commander Sir R H Dobson CBE, WBro Sqn Leader J Bostock to mention just a few.
The son of Sqn Leader John Bostock, WBro Dudley Bostock PprovGSwdB is still a member of the Lodge, the Lodge is now open to all, we do still have RAF personnel in the Lodge.

Why Join Us?
We are a very Light hearted and happy Lodge, the members have a wide range of interests, and experiences from ex Army Sergeant, computer programming expert, retired Areospace engineer, Car Sales Manager, Master Baker, a serving and retired Senior RAF officers, ATC Manchester Airport, Banker, EX Navy Saturation Diver, so something for everyone.
WHEN WE MEET
We only meet 5 times a year on the first Thursday of the following Months. OCTOBER, NOVEMBER, DECEMBER, which is our Installation, FEBRUARY and APRIL.
LODGE INFO
We meet 5 times a year, but most members especially once you start progressing in the Lodge and take on one of the Lodge officers positions you will be required / expected to attend all Rehearsal meetings, these are not necessary for every meeting but could amount to an extra few meetings a year.
