Bacup Masonic Hall
Bacup Masonic Hall or ‘Holmroyd’ is the home of Freemasonry in Bacup. At present, we are home to one Craft Lodge (Roclyffe 5198) and one Royal Arch Chapter (Chapter of Strength 286).

Bacup Masonic Hall, located in the town of Bacup, Lancashire, England, is a historic and culturally significant building. It serves as a venue for Masonic Lodge meetings and various community events. The hall is known for its distinctive architectural style and rich heritage, often reflecting the values and traditions associated with Freemasonry.

Constructed in the late 19th or early 20th century, the Bacup Masonic Hall exemplifies the traditional design elements common to Masonic buildings, such as symbolic decorations and a formal interior layout. The hall has been an integral part of the local community, not only as a place for Masonic activities but also as a venue for social gatherings, charity events, and other functions.

The history and activities of Bacup Masonic Hall are closely tied to the broader history of Freemasonry in the UK, a fraternal organization that has played a significant role in community and charitable activities for centuries. The hall continues to be a place where members of the Masonic community meet, uphold their traditions, and engage in philanthropic efforts.
