Bank Terrace with King Oswald – 462

Who Are We?

We are an amalgamated Lodge, which means that we came together from two
separate Lodges to form one Lodge. Bank Terrace Lodge No.462 was consecrated in
1839 in Accrington, even before Lancashire Constabulary was formed! We first met at
the Hargreaves Arms, adjacent to our Masonic Hall on Adelaide Street, which we have
now been meeting at for over a Century.
King Oswald Lodge No.3306 was consecrated in 1908 just in Oswaldtwistle, just
before the Great War, celebrating their centenary in 2008. In 2015, these two very
close memberships, came together to form Bank Terrace with King Oswald Lodge
No.462 and have flourished together in the years since.

Why Join Us?

In our Lodges, we have a wide range of people, professions, interests and age groups,
which makes up a diverse Membership structure. From young professionals, serving
and Veteran Armed Forces members, small business owners, public servants and
everything in between! We have a supportive, engaged and enthusiastic Membership
and regular social schedule, which would suit a wide range of potential candidates to
Freemasonry.

WHEN WE MEET

We meet on the 2nd Wednesday of every month save July & August. We practice on the
two Mondays before the Meeting. In January, we normally meet on the first Saturday
where we hold our ‘Installation Meeting’ (Where the new Officers are installed).

LODGE INFO

We have a range of social activities across the year, ranging from black tie dinners to
casual socials i.e. curry nights, Brewery trips etc, most of which involve our wives,
partners, friends and family. We also have a strong community volunteering ethos
within the Lodge, assisting our local area volunteering with our local hospice,
children’s charities and community events.
