Who Are We?
Why Join Us?
Concord Lodge engages in traditional masonic activities and has an ethos that celebrates achievement in public service, contributions to charity and encourages friendship among Freemasons. As most of its Regular meetings and practices take place on Saturday mornings, its meetings are not only convenient for those who are working in 5-day-a-week jobs, but also attractive to those who are retired and would prefer daytime meetings to evening meetings. Furthermore, the Saturday meetings provide a great opportunity to meet Masons from all over the Southern Area and make many new friends.
Moreover, Concord Lodge’s history has seen Freemasons join from a wide range of professions and disciplines, and continues to provide opportunity to widen the range of one’s spectrum of friends.
WHEN WE MEET
Practice meetings are held on the Saturdays one week prior to the regular meetings, again
LODGE INFO
Our Saturday meetings and practices are held after the “Bacon Buttie Club” (BBC) that meets every Saturday morning at Stanley House, which is attended by about fifty or so Southern Area Masons meeting socially. Many of our members arrive early for the meetings to catch up with friends at the BBC.
Being a smaller Lodge, Concord Lodge tends not to hold its own social events, but rather, our members actively support the social functions of other Lodges in Stanley House, which include Ladies Evenings or Weekends, often in Blackpool or Llandudno, and “Old English Nights”. They also support social functions organised by Stanley House, which have included Valentine’s Day, Christmas and New Year’s Eve parties as well as shows by tribute acts and many others.
Recently, one of our members, to celebrate his serving fifty years’ service to Freemasonry, undertook a “Coast to Coast” cycle ride to raise money for the 2026 Festival.
