Why Join Us?

Our ideal candidate will probably have some of the following characteristics:
• Wants to join a friendly group of like-minded guys.
• Enjoy socialising will encompass the Lodge culture of having fun.
• Wants to be part of small, ambitious and progressive Lodge.
• Wants to be involved in a group that focuses on charitable giving.
In return, candidates and joining members can expect:
• A warm welcome for themselves and their family.
• Acceptance by a group of like-minded guys, comradeship, and friends for life.
• Guidance, support and instruction on the teachings of core masonic principles, those being brotherly love, relief and truth.
We seek to make Freemasonry as accessible as possible to those who are interested in joining the fraternity. We recognise that people have different financial pressures and commitments and hope that our approach to the costs of freemasonry makes it accessible to a larger number of people.

WHEN WE MEET

Our lodge meeting schedule comprises of 9 meetings per year:
• Meetings are on the 2nd Monday of the month.
• September – May
• November is our Installation meeting.
In additional to meetings, we hold practice meetings most weeks throughout the year, although availability due to holidays means we don’t meet as regularly in July and August.
Lodge and Practice meetings are held at Radcliffe Masonic Hall, and usually start between 6.00 pm and 6.30 pm.

LODGE INFO

Darley Lodge is extremely proud to support numerous Charities. In recent years, when been delighted to support:
• 2026 Festival Appeal
• Widows of the Brethren of the Lodge
• British Legion Poppy Appeal
• Hewlett Court Christmas Party
• Astley & Tyldsley Football Club
• St Matthews Church
• Funding for 2023 World Scout Jamboree
• Hilltop Sports and Social Club
Donations are administered by the Worshipful Master and funds are distributed around the time of the Installation in November. The WM does however seek nominations for charities that members would particularly like to support.
In 2024 we have launched a series of Brass Band Concerts, which have proved very popular, and have been very enjoyable evening. Through these events, we will be able to continue to support smaller, local charities.
Our fund-raising sources in the past 12 months have been:
• The Alms plate at each month’s meeting
• The Social Board raffle for a bottle of whisky (around £150 per meeting)
• Crown Green Bowling afternoon
• Sponsored Walk – the Darley Drudgers were out in for recently for the Summerseat Stride.
