Marsden within Pennine Valley Lodge – 6183

Who Are We?

“We are an amalgamated Lodge, both lodges met in the same building in Nelson and decided to amalgamate into one lodge in October 2005. Pennine Valley Lodge 6183 was consecrated in December 1945 and met in Bradshaw St Nelson.
Marsden Lodge 3978 was consecrated in 1919 and met in the Lord Nelson Hotel in Nelson, later moving to the Masonic Hall in Bradshaw St. Nelson.
Both Lodges amalgamated in 2005 and it was decided to close the Masonic Hall in Nelson and Marsden Within Within Pennine Valley Lodge 6183 moved to the Masonic Hall in Padiham where it now meets and prospers. “

Why Join Us?

“We are a progressive lodge that welcomes members from various back grounds and professions. Many friendships are made within the lodge. Visitors from other lodges frequently visit the lodge to which we reciprocate on a regular basis.

Lodge meetings commence at 7pm and are followed by an informal two course meal.”

WHEN WE MEET

We meet on the 4th Tuesday of the month except for June ,July and August when we are closed for the holiday period. Practice nights are usually held on three Thursdays prior to the Lodge meeting. We ask junior brethren to attend practices when possible, but understand that members also have other commitments.

LODGE INFO

During the year Padiham Masonic Hall holds various social functions including formal and informal occasions, BBQ`s and Quiz Nights. Many social occasions welcome wives, family members and Non Masons to the gatherings.
During the year we raise money to donate to both Local and Masonic Charities.”
