Who Are We?

Our Lodge was consecrated in 1948. In those days, it took a long time to progress to a Lodge Officer’s position, so, to alleviate the situation in Mossley, a number of Masons from Lodges in Mossley decided to form an additional Lodge to help members achieve the Master’s Chair more quickly. To this day a number of our members are still either members of two Lodges or visit our “Mother Lodges” regularly.

Our recent history has seen several members achieve eminence: some have achieved “Grand Officer” status; some have held acting roles within the Masonic Province of East Lancashire and some have held important positions on the District team, including District Chairman – all have served the organisation with distinction.

We have recently celebrated 75 years of continuous working, and recognised in our celebration the need to be proactive to ensure we reach 100 years. We pride ourselves on being a family friendly lodge with a good mix of old and young, combining experience with youthful enthusiasm. We meet 4 times a year giving our members the time and opportunity to visit and become members of other Lodges.

Why Join Us?

We like to think we are a “family friendly” Lodge, and although we have fun with our Freemasonry, we take it seriously on the occasions we need to. We strive to involve all members of the Lodge in what we do, and encourage them to get the most out of their Freemasonry by visiting our sister Lodges across the Area.

WHEN WE MEET

Second Tuesday in March, May, September and December.

LODGE INFO

We hold two “Lodge” functions during the year to which friends and family are more than welcome. They are a summer barbeque and a Christmas Dinner following the December Lodge meeting
