Old Blackburnian Lodge – 7933

Who Are We?

The Lodge was consecrated in 1963, it was formed by a group of Brethren who wanted to keep their affiliation with the school. The original rules for joining were that anyone wishing to join was required to have some form of affiliation with the school either as a pupil, or member of staff. We are a member of the Federation of School Lodges which has a network within all Lodges who are members, and we share communications on a regular basis.

Why Join Us?

We have a major cross-section of members who share many interests, our meeting place is the School refectory, which is a beautiful setting with stained glass windows.

WHEN WE MEET

The Lodge meets at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School, Blackburn, and holds regular meetings on the third Friday in October, the first Friday in December, the third Friday in February, and the second Saturday in April. We hold our practices in the Main Hall of the school premises on the two Mondays preceding the meeting.

LODGE INFO

We have a s Summer Sunday Luncheon for Members, their wives, partners and non-masonic friends. This has been held historically at Ferraris Restaurant in Clitheroe.

We also support many local charitable organisations, i.e. Derian House, East Lancs Hospice to name a few.

Some of the members are also directly involved with work with these charitable and voluntary organisations.
