Prince Edwin’s Lodge – 128

Who Are We?

Consecrated in Bury in 1803 and is classed as an Atholl Lodge and one of the oldest Lodge’s to have worked in the town with it’s distinct ritual. It purchased premises in Parson’s Lane, later joined by other Lodges. Due to declining membership numbers, it was decided to move to the Radcliffe Masonic Hall in 2018 as a ‘lunch time’ Lodge. Since then, the Lodge has prospered with increased membership and a very busy calendar.

Why Join Us?

The appeal of a lunch time lodge and the use of a large free car park is that members of a certain age can enjoy each other’s company in friendly and relaxed surroundings and arrive home safely in daylight hours. We have had the good fortune to have had the Initiation of new members who have either just retired and/or have now realised what a good experience they have been missing in becoming a member of the masonic fraternity.

WHEN WE MEET

The Lodges meets on the 2nd Wednesday in December (Installation); February, April and October. Committee meetings and practices are held on the Monday of the week preceding and of the same week of each Lodge meeting.

LODGE INFO

We have contributed generously to many masonic and non-masonic charities over many years and are presently a Grand Patron of the 2026 East Lancashire Masonic Festival.
